The Seniors Services Conference is a two-day conference designed for seniors’ service providers. It provides an opportunity for individuals who work directly with seniors to network with one another and learn more about the programs, services and issues important to seniors in Alberta.
The conference is being co-hosted by Alberta Seniors and Community Supports in partnership with the
Calgary Seniors' Resource Society. It will be in Calgary on September 18 - 19, 2008 at the Executive Royal Inn.
The Minister of Seniors and Community Supports, Honourable Mary Anne Jablonski, will open the conference. The two keynote speakers are:
Sessions are divided into three streams:
Topics will include parenting your parent, geriatric mental health and provincial programs for seniors. The conference will close with Circles of Rhythm, an interactive drumming session led by Judy Atkinson.
