Many Albertans joined the Seniors Advisory Council for Alberta in celebrating seniors and their contributions to our communities on June 1 - 7!

Seniors make a difference in the lives of Albertans every day. From supporting family members and friends to assisting charities and volunteering, seniors are deeply involved in our communities and their contributions benefit Albertans of all ages.
Seniors’ Week 2009 was launched at the Calgary Zoo on June 1st. More than a thousand seniors attended the event, where dignitaries and other special guests paid tribute to older Albertans.
Many more Albertans joined the festivities by attending one of the other Seniors’ Week events that were held across the province. Your participation in Seniors’ Week helped highlight and showed appreciation for Alberta’s seniors.
Seniors’ Week 2010 will be held from June 7-13.
