In April 2011, there were about 410,000 seniors in Alberta.
By 2035, there will be more than 1,000,000 seniors in Alberta.
Most seniors are healthy and live independently in their own homes.
They contribute as employers, employees, mentors, volunteers, taxpayers, grandparents and community leaders.
