2011 Calgary Region Community Leadership Awards
In 2011, Calgary Region Community Board Persons with Developmental Disabilities will recognize individuals, families, businesses and organizations for their actions to promote community inclusion and improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
PDD Calgary accepted nominations for the 2011 year in the following five categories:
- Norm McLeod Self-Advocacy Award
- Individual Leadership Award
- Community Citizenship Award
- Community Disability Service Sector Leadership Award
- Family Leadership Award

2010 PDD PROVINCIAL COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARDS
Albertans recognized for promoting community inclusion of persons with developmental disabilities
Five individuals and organizations were recognized for promoting the participation of people with developmental disabilities in Alberta communities. The Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Provincial Community Leadership Awards were presented in five categories at a ceremony in Edmonton on October 20, 2010.
"These award winners are true community leaders, who work to make sure that their communities are welcoming, inclusive places for people with developmental disabilities,” said Mary Anne Jablonski, Minister of Seniors and Community Supports. “Everyone benefits when we live in a society that respects and values the gifts that each unique individual brings."
