On December 15th, Renée Burkard (centre), together with Esther McDonald (right), CEO of Camrose Association for Community Living, presented Minister Mary Anne Jablonski with the poster pictured here. Renée is featured on the poster, titled “together we shine”. The title and the poster promote and speak to the successes achieved when full community inclusion of people with disabilities happens. The poster visualizes the partnerships necessary for people to become full citizens—including positive relationships between government and agencies, agencies and community, community and people with disabilities, and agencies and people with disabilities. Together we all shine.
Renée is also a part time employee of CAFCL, where she is a staff trainer and teaches about rights, responsibilities and informed consent.
