Benefit Year

The benefit year starts July 1 of one year and finishes June 30 of the following year. Applications received in the Special Needs Assistance office or Seniors Information Offices on or before June 30 will be assessed for that benefit year. Applications received July 1 or later will be assessed for the new benefit year. The date your application is received in an Alberta Seniors and Community Supports' office determines the benefit year for which it is considered.
