The Special Needs Assistance for Seniors program helps seniors who are facing financial difficulty in paying one-time extraordinary expenses. A senior's income level and the type of expense applied for will determine the amount funded.

Special need expenses funded by the program include appliances, medical expenses, and essential minor home repairs.

Some items are not considered. They include vacations, gifts to family, and cosmetic home renovations such as re-decorating or landscaping.
