Following an MLA public consultation in 2003 and a further review by Dr. Neil Brown, MLA for Calgary Nose-Hill, in 2006, the Protection for Persons in Care Act is being re-written. The aim of the proposed changes is to improve safeguards from abuse for adults who receive care or support services funded by the Government.
