Case Summaries

A sample of case summaries have been prepared by Protection for Persons in Care to help the public understand the Protection for Persons in Care Act (the Act) and how it is applied. Each case summary describes the type of abuse received in the complaint, the allegation made by the complainant, a brief overview of the investigation findings, action taken by the agency, and the approved recommendations.

These case summaries are an opportunity to provide real examples of the application of the Act in different situations.
