Lymphedema Reduction System

Specialized lymphedema reduction garments are provided to community-based clients whose lymphedema cannot be managed with the regular compression garments funded through AADL. The specialized garments are intended to decrease the needs of clients for home care, hospital services and physiotherapy intervention. Several AADL authorizers involved in lymphedema reduction have volunteered to participate in this project.

Who is Eligible:

Clients who receive funding for regular AADL compression and whose symptoms of lymphedema are inadequately controlled by these regular garments and clinically require compression at night.

Pilot Period:

April 21, 2008 to March 31, 2009 or until supplies last
